Hi! i’m your Doula, Katelyn!
As a mama of 2 I truly understand how important birth and post-partum is. I also understand how disappointing and even traumatic it can be to not have the outcome you expected.
My first born was a c-section due to him being breech and even though I tried everything I could possibly find to keep it from happening, he would not turn, and I eventually consented to surgery. From the time I got to the post-partum room I was determined I would not have another c-section and so I started researching VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean). By the time I found out I was pregnant with our second I already had my provider and doula picked out and a wealth of knowledge under my belt. That made all the difference! I was able to have our daughter completely unmedicated and prove to myself how beautiful birth can be!
I want you to have the same experience! (minus the traumatic first birth) I want you to see how beautiful, and fulfilling God intended birth to be when we stick to the basics and stop letting the medical staff dictate the care we receive! So, let’s go on this journey together. I promise it will be worth it!
